Lurana Shelter
The Lurana Shelter is now part part of Catholic Social Services. The Shelter offers safe refuge and life changing services to women and children who were victims of domestic violence in our community.
We provide a variety of quilts in different sizes and designs for women and children in the shelter.
At our May meeting EMQG Charity Chair, Pam C and Program Chair, Jan S, presented 42 quilts in various sizes to Catholic Social Services representatives Nimet Somji and Sister MaryClare for Lurana Shelter. We also presented the Shelter with a cheque for over $1,823.15. These funds were raised raffling three quilts during Quiltfest 2022.

At our May meeting EMQG presented Diana Cole, Parkland Country QOV Rep with quilts for four veterans.
Quilts of Valour
We support Quilt of Valour by creating and donating quilts to veterans.

QOV Mission
To ensure that injured Canadian Forces members are recognized for their service and commitment to our country. We give this support through the presentation of quilts to comfort our injured past and present Canadian Forces members.
